INGLEWOOD, CA — When the stars and stripes began their World Cup run, the stars made sure to show up.

The U.S. men's national team played its opening match of the 2026 World Cup on Friday, June 12, and it was a highly anticipated one since it was the first tournament game on American soil since 1994.
