Stark County High School Athlete of the Week April 14-20 | Griffith, Fuller win the vote

Athletes from Louisville and Hoover high schools won the voting for the Stark County High School Athlete of the Week for April 14-20.

Bailee Griffith of Louisville is the girls winner and Evan Fuller of Hoover wins for the boys. Griffith, who plays softball, received 55.52% of the votes cast. Fuller, who plays baseball, received 43.63% of the votes cast.

A total of 34,472 votes were cast overall.

Bailee Griffith, Louisville softball​

Went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run in a 6-2 win over Jackson, 2-for-3 with two runs in a 6-1 win over Strasburg and hit a solo home run in a 5-3 win over Perry.

Evan Fuller, Hoover baseball​

Tied a school record with 17 strikeouts in a one-hit shutout of McKinley in a Federal League win.
