After Jabba died his kid decided to cast off the life of a criminal, and attend college at Indiana St, abandoning his Hutt accent to fit into the American Mid West

Beyond on all this, he refers to himself as… his own man. You’re a sloth/Hutt.

The decision to make his voice whatever this was was such an odd one. And to cast Jeremy Allen White as the voice… and then totally modulate his voice so it doesn’t even sound like him as well.

I’ll say this… the score for this movie is pretty great.

Nope, Solo beat it for opening weekend $81m for Grogu and $84.4m for Solo and that's before adjusting for inflation.

As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I do want to see this but am in no rush. I'll gladly wait a week or two to let the fanatics and Disney SW fans see it first. From what I have heard it is basically like a few episodes of the TV show strung together to make a movie. Personally, I am hoping some of the creators can come together and make some big tentpole films in the galaxy going forward.

Same. No rush. Likely will go see it this weekend. I think for me it's because this is a continuation of a TV show. If feels less like an EVENT or new chapter.

Went to see this with my daughter today. It was what I expected. It felt like a season of Mando transformed into a movie. Was a little to "cute" for my taste but it had Grogu in the title, so you had to expect that. IMO, it was a fun adventure but hardly hardcore Star Wars type stuff.

Also, to be honest, the entire Mado/Grogu thing seems sort of played out now and I am not sure they have any place to really go except for explaining where the hell Grogu is in the current time frame.

Wow. 69% drop for its second weekend at the box office.

Dropped to third place behind Backrooms and Obsession.

Yeah, there is no recovery for this movie. Too many juggernauts coming up.

Masters of the universe this weekend
Disclosure Day the week after
Toy Story 5 the week after that.
And then Supergirl, which probably won't do as well, but will likely do more than Mando did.

Taylor Swift just confirmed that she wrote a new song that will be included in Toy Story 5. So, add the Swifties to an already huge audience for another film in the Toy Story series.

I liked it.

This movie seemed to drag on, especially after mondo fell into a coma after dragon snake bite.

I think Supergirl bombs even harder. It won’t come near Mando’s opening weekend and will be swept into the dust bin of box office history within the next week.

But Masters Of The Universe takes the bomb cake this summer.

My wife saw the trailer and said, "That looks awful." I pretty much agree and have no desire to see it in the theaters. Meh.
The trailers are really bad but all the buzz I’ve been hearing for the last month is how almost shockingly fun this movie is and how much it actually gets right as a love letter to the original series, striking an almost impossible balance embracing action spectacle and 80’s campiness.

Not that it’s a great movie. Just much better than any of the marketing has made it look like and a pretty solid summer blockbuster.

I dislike time travel stuff and really dislike the different universe stuff shows. Way too confusing to me, someone who just goes to shows to be entertained and eat popcorn. I also don’t like the good guys getting killed off.
I like a good time travel movie that makes sense. Like Somewhere In Time. There's even Sci Fi movies that are great at it. But the MCU Universe, and series like the Flash on the CDW, use it as a clutch. A main character dies, oops, juts bring them back from Earth 57. Sucks.

Thanks. That is at least encouraging.
