Ok, I saw that "Star Wars Galaxies" has finally been released. Being a huge Star Wars fan, I am very curious about it. I have never gotten in to online RPG's (like "Everquest" or "Asheron's Call".) I was considering making the jump into the genre with this title, but I am apprehensive.

Has anyone else played it yet? I recall someone mentioning that they were participating in the beta testing. Is it more than just sitting around at monster spawn-points, racking up experience?

Is it actually worth looking at, or should I just wait for "Knights of The Old Republic" later in the year?

I haven't played it nor do I own it - but there are two guys in my office that do and have. I'll ask them on Monday about it for you and let you know what their opinion of it is.

It does look interesting though.

Ja wohl! Er ist das Beste!

I heard After The Fire's English version of "Der Kommisar" on the radio yesterday, and it reminded me of "the good ol' days"...

After The Fire? Bah! They should be flogged for thinking they could ever dream of holding a candle to the original!

Es gibt nur ein Falco!

I have already bought it.

It looks really slick. I haven't really got to play it because I have been working, but since I work nights should be a great way to pass the time away on my nights off. I just hope it doesn't stop me from going to the 24 hour gym

One of the guys wasn't able to play it this weekend - his home network was down - so he was bummed about it. The other guy here at work did play it and he loves it. He's a pretty active PC game player and he says that it's the best game he has played. He said the universe is pretty extensive and deep. He told me he would highly recommend it to anyone and that it was worth every penny.

Merci beaucoup, mon ami!

I guess that I'm just being a little wussy about getting into an online game, but with Star Wars just starting out, there should be too many high-level characters making life difficult. But then again, I ask myself if I will play enough to justify a monthly charge. Good grief!

Thanks again!

Curious if you ever bought this game and are playing it?

BTW - happy birthday.

Thank you! :D

No, I never got it. :(

My computer spending has come to a complete halt. Even if I spent the $45 on the game, I would be able to afford the mothly fee.

I have assumed "war-time" budgeting to I can go back to school for my Microsoft Certifications...

But I did get my hands on a copy of "Splinter Cell"

That game absolutely rocks!

It's like Metal Gear Solid, but better!

I've got Splinter Cell for the XBox - I love that game.

Micro Certs? I only went and got the first one - VB 6.0 Desktop, but that was a couple of years ago. I didn't go to the classes though - I thought they were too expensive, I just studied on my own and went and took the test.

I want to get the ones for .NET now since that's what I primarily work in.

I got the MCSA and then went a little further and got the MCSE several months ago. I didn't take any classes, just studied on my own and then took the tests.

I personally think that's the way to go - it's much cheaper. And I'm all about cheap. :)

Me too, but considering that the Feds and the State will be covering the tab, I'm going for it with a little help. :D

Anytime you can get the MAN to pay for it - then by all means, take full advantage. :D

I'm going to get Knights of the Old Republic when it comes out on PC. It looks awesome and I can leave it when I have to.

I have been playing a little Rebellion online though. That's kinda fun.
