I watched it with my own eyes and I do not believe it, 40 point underdogs and Stanford wins 24-23.

USC Upset By Stanford

Today's squeaker at Washington State should get lost in the background of this shocker.

And it should help in the rankings that we beat Stanford by 38 on the road.

Appalacian State, not even close.
At least Stanford is in the same division and conference.

HUGE upset...I hope this is the beginning of their fall. It would be nice to see a team outside of Cali win the conference for once. Can't wait till the Golden Bears come to town.

We smoked a Stanford team that just vanquished USC.

We beat a Colorado team that upset Oklahoma.

Yet, we just barely eeked by WSU.

I still have no idea how good or bad this ASU team is...

I do. They are undefeated. That's all that matters.

USC had 5 turnovers, that is just pathetic. I am pleased to see USC fall to a conference team.

This opens up the conference a bit more. Theoretically, we could have three top 10 conference teams if ranked teams keep losing like this. The three? - Cal, ASU, and Oregon... ;) Suppose we only lose to Oregon, and Cal beats us...

Now that USC has lost, ASU HAS to beat them.

This college football season has already been incredible. ANYTHING can happen this year!

That's biggest upset in the Pac 10 that I can ever remember.

AWESOME!!!!!

Exactly. Anything is now truly possible for the Devils. They can't look ahead too much, but BCS is not totally unrealistic anymore. I'm not saying it's likely, it's just a lot more possible than when the sun came up this morning.

There's nothing wrong with today's win. Pullman is a tough road trip.

I have a feeling the CAL will beat USC and take the PAC 10 champioship this year. Either way USC wasn't going to beat LSU in the NC game anyway.

Picking the outright win of Stanford over USC was tough. Against the points ( 38 ) was easy. 38 points is in " off the board " territory, but the oddsmakers/Vegas didn't do it. Major game, PAC 10 bettors, in conference. Vegas just needed to find enough points to attract money against USC.

Stanford can score, USC can score, neither one plays defense all that well USC would have had to score 63 points to beat the spread in that one. Injuries are starting to make a difference. IMHO.

App State was a very good team in their division, Stanford had given up 47 PPG in conference this year, had a backup QB starting, had their starting RB out, and were on the road against a team that wanted to drill them because Harbaugh said Carroll was leaving for the NFL after this year.

I think this is the biggest upset in my lifetime.

Of course it is for you but then you have some emotional ties to NoCal college teams. :D

Sorry USC losing to Stanford is not good news in my book. Not when those schmucks at LSU have the inside track to a national championship. The only good thing is that Cal is number 2.
