MARSHALL, Texas (KETK) — Spring Hill Baseball beat Carthage twice during the regular season but in game one of the two district foes’ 4A-D2 regional finals series Thursday night at ETBU, the Bulldogs shut out the Panthers 4-0 to take a 1-0 series lead.

Fast forward to Saturday and Spring Hill needed to win game two and game three to keep their season alive.

In game two, Spring Hill fell behind 3-0 early but rallied to win it 10-3 and then held off Carthage 7-5, with Grant Burton’s grand slam being the difference, in game three to punch their ticket to the state semifinals for the second-straight year.

Spring Hill will take on Brock next week in the 4A-D2 state semifinals.
