Michigan State basketball has officially finished the season as a top 10 team.

The Spartans came in at No. 7 in the final Associated Press (AP) Top 25 team that was released on Tuesday. Michigan State ended the season as the highest-ranked team from the Big Ten, and with the program's highest finish in the AP Top 25 poll since 2019, when Michigan State came in at No. 5 after a Final Four run.

This is the 14th time the Spartans have ended the season in the top 10 of the final AP Top 25. Ten of those top 10 finishes were under head coach Tom Izzo.

Other Big Ten teams to be included in the final AP Top 25 poll released on Tuesday were: Maryland (No. 9), Michigan (No. 10), Purdue (No. 14) and Wisconsin (No. 16).
