The Los Angeles Sparks announced on Sunday that they have agreed to part ways with general manager Raegan Pebley.

The Sparks' Managing Partner and Governor Eric Holoman released a statement about the decision.

"We are grateful to Raegan for her leadership and commitment to the Los Angeles Sparks and women's basketball. Her work on the Sparks roster and player experience will have a lasting positive impact on our organization. We sincerely thank her for all she has invested in the Sparks and wish her success in her next chapter.

Pebley played women's college basketball at Colorado from 1993 to 1997. She was drafted in the third round of the 1997 WNBA Draft by the Utah Starzz.

The forward spent one season with the Starzz before signing with the Cleveland Rockers in 1998.

Pebley played in 30 career games and averaged 1.7 points, 1.2 rebounds and 7.0 minutes per game off the bench.

After her playing career ended, she got into coaching. Pebley was an assistant at George Mason from 1997 to 1999 and then at Colorado State from 1999 to 2001.

She got her first chance to be a head coach in 2003 at Utah State. Pebley went 110-115 with the Aggies and then served as head coach at Fresno State for two seasons.

After the Bulldogs went 46-20 and earned two NCAA Tournament berths, she took a job as head coach at TCU. Pebley held that position until she stepped down following an 8-23 season in 2022-2023.

Pebley was hired to be the Sparks' GM on January 5, 2024. She had extensive coaching experience but little front-office experience; that didn't deter LA from hiring her.

"Raegan is an exceptional leader and culture builder. She has deep knowledge of the women's basketball landscape and brings expertise in player development, talent evaluation, analytics, and organizational leadership. I'm looking forward to partnering with her as the Sparks begin the next phase of our build."

The Sparks are 10-11 so far this season. LA went 8-32 in Pebley's first year and finished 21-23 a season ago.

Assistant GMs Zach Knowlton and Nate Nielsen will serve as the interim GMs.
