The question you were supposed to get a week ago still held pertinent this week, so we asked readers where they would improve the White Sox at the trade deadline, given that by all accounts GM Chris Getz should be a buyer for the very first time. And one thing’s for sure, we won’t be getting any help on offense if you all have your way.

Nearly nine out of 10 readers thought that pitching needs the most help. It would seem that the rotation is in more dire shape than the bullpen, but according to you we need more assistance (and likely much more obtainable help) in the relief corps. Interestingly, 11% feel that the team is strong enough to succeed in October and/or see 2026’s success as found money.

First of all, what the hell, SBN, the White Sox merit no consideration here? Doesn’t seem like that’s a matter of utter confidence in the team. But the survey-makers can be forgiven, seeing as how last week the White Sox were somehow listed as 2% likely to win the World Series in a survey question.
