SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota high school girls golf tournament began Monday for all three classes across the state.
The Class ‘AA’ tournament is being held at Cattails Crossing in Watertown. O’Gorman’s Ari Jacobs leads the individual scoring with 2-under-par. Aberdeen Central is atop the team scoreboard at seven-over-par.
Two Rivers Golf Club is hosting Class ‘A’ where Dakota Valley’s Katie Betsworth has sole possession of first place, shooting four-under-par. St. Thomas More is the team scoreboard leader, ahead of the Panthers by thirteen strokes.
The Class ‘B’ rounds are being played at Edgebrook Golf Club in Brookings. Clark/Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich and Miller’s Jayce Pugh sit tied in the top spot, while Chester’s Jadyn McDonald and Webster Area’s Bailee Ninke are tied for third. Allie Hansen and Maddison Bacon, both of St. Mary’s, have the shared fifth spot.
The second and final round of the tournament begins at 8 a.m. at the respective locations.
