Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham came down with an injury before the start of the game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night.

The Fever announced that Cunningham suffered back spasms during warm-ups and was ruled as questionable to play.

Sophie Cunningham injury update​


UPDATE: It appears Cunningham is all good, as she has now entered the game for Indiana.

Cunningham’s ability to play is big for the Fever, who rely on the sharpshooter as a key player off the bench.

Cunningham is averaging 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in 22.9 minutes per contest this season. She’s also draining threes at a nearly 43% success rate.

The Fever announced that Cunningham is questionable to play against Los Angeles due to her back spams.

The Indy Star’s Chloe Peterson did not see Cunningham on the bench as of this writing, which means she’s likely getting treatment in the locker room.
