Kedric Golston II, the son of Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Kedric Golston, has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers. Golston II is the second notable legacy recruit that Georgia has missed out on in the class of 2026 with the other being four-star linebacker Thomas Davis Jr., who is sticking with his commitment to Notre Dame.
Golston II is a three-star edge rusher in the 2026 recruiting cycle. He committed to the Volunteers over UGA, Rutgers and Virginia Tech.
"It was pretty hard (choice) because I grew up a Georgia fan and my dad played there," said Golston II in an interview with 247Sports. "Just weighing my options, I just prayed on it and let the Lord guide me with my decision."
Golston II's commitment is a part of a recent Tennessee recruiting surge. The Volunteers still have a long way to go if they want to catch Georgia and have the SEC's best recruiting class.
Golston II will blaze his own path at Tennessee. He plays high school football for Stone Bridge in Ashburn, Virginia, which is located west of Washington D.C.
Former Georgia defensive lineman Kedric Golston helped Georgia win the 2005 SEC championship. He was a sixth-round pick in the 2006 NFL draft and played with the Washington Redskins from 2006-2016.
