Look, I know the status of Palmer divides us here, so I dont want to start a war. I haven't been a fan of his for awhile and I look at him make mistake after mistake. For every step forward, it's at least a step back. He's not a top qb by any stretch of the imagination in my books.

That said, I DON'T ha lve a solution if he were to go.

With 18 TDs and 16 Turnovers it is very hard to justify, unless the next option is Drew Stanton. :(

They would have to pull off something really major in getting a QB to cut bait with him after this season. When your other option is Drew Stanton the Cards are pretty much stuck with Palmer for next year.

The guy is one tough SOB however. I think he's taken more of a beating than other Cards QB since David Krieg was sacked 76 times in a season.

I'm in the same boat. Palmer has been trash this year but I don't see us ever winning more than 6-7 games Stanton. What kills me more than anything is Palmer's uncanny ability to get sacked for massive losses on 3rd downs in the red zone.

After what I've seen this year and the dearth of quarterback draft prospects, a retread / never was with league experience appears to be the best option for next year.

It's not about who else would play QB. It's would you rather pay Palmer $17.5 million or have 10 million more cap room!

Matt Moore didn't have a problem holding onto the ball to make a throw

Neither did Tanny. Palmer has huge hands but his reaction time is slow. He's been struggling with snaps that haven't been perfect but should be handled anyway. I think the fumble today was just trying to release it too quickly.

He didn't play well today-- but for most of the game, the team was playing two street FAs at tackle and a backup at guard. When AQ Shipley is your 2nd best offensive lineman in the lineup, you have issues.
