Limit all players to 5-6 years in the league. 3 years on rookie contract, and then 3 more years to make as much money as you can in FA. Just think how much that would save on players bodies. They would retire young enough where their bodies would have better chance to repair the damage years of playing football has put on them.

Seriously, you think Peyton Manning would have been willing to leave the game after 6 years? Assumption of risk. Congratulations, everyone now knows how dangerous football is, now more than ever. You want to play it and play it for years? You know the risks and you decide that the pursuit of money/passion or whatever else drives you is worth it.
