It was another disappointing outing from Texas A&M against USC on Monday night, as the Trojans eliminated the Aggies with a 7-1 win in the College Station Regional Final at Blue Bell Park.

In one of his longest starts to date, right-hander Clayton Freshcorn provided a solid outing for the Maroon and White. Before giving up a three-run home run in the seventh inning, Freshcorn held the Trojans to just two earned runs on six hits. After he was pulled, Shane Sdao gave up two more runs, as USC went on to claim its first regional final in 21 years.

While the pitching woes continued to be a struggle for Texas A&M on Monday night, the lineup was anything but its normal self. The Aggies entered the postseason ranked third in the SEC with a .301 team batting average and second with 114 home runs. That success did not carry over into the regional final, however. The lineup produced just four runs through two games, while USC recorded 21 to advance to a showdown against North Carolina in Chapel Hill next weekend.

There are many questions and concerns swirling around the program entering the offseason, mainly regarding Jason Kelly's seat as the pitching coach after a lackluster management throughout the year. As he prepares to enter his third season at the helm, head coach Michael Earley has some major decisions to make this offseason.

Here are some of the best social media reactions from Texas A&M's regional final loss to USC on Monday night:

Last saw of the academic year at Blue Bell Park on Monday night

Pretty sure it’s not in the NCAA script to play the Aggie War Hymn before the bottom of the ninth, but, if this score stands it would be the last one of the academic year… So they said screw it, let’s ride. pic.twitter.com/EgOulEJlKd

USC performed flawlessly to battle back and defeat Texas A&M twice in the regional final

No arguing with the winner in this Regional. USC played flawless baseball. Executed in every phase of the game at a high level.

For Texas A&M, Clayton Freshcorn pitched his guts out…and that was about all that went right.

A very important summer ahead for the Aggie program https://t.co/MhnO6IUxIv

Freshcorn performed solid, but the lineup provided no support

Clayton Freshcorn’s day is done after 101 pitches and 6.2 innings of work. He gets a loud ovation from the Blue Bell Park crowd.

He did a tremendous job today, but the bats haven’t offered him any support

If that’s Freshcorn’s last appearance as an Aggie, it was a helluva good…

Tons of production to replace entering the offseason

I can’t believe this is how guys like Grahovac, Sorrell, Freshcorn, Bear, etc. career’s as Aggies is ending

Just such a bummer

Much work to do to replenish the roster and figure out answers on the coaching staff

Elite pitching usually beats elite hitting in the postseason, and these last two games were no exception. Credit to USC for their bats getting hot at the right time, too.

The pitching staff was woefully mediocre at best all season, injuries be damned. It bit us in the…
