If the Oklahoma Sooners' 2027 recruiting class wasn't impressive enough, they've added another big-time commitment on Tuesday with the pledge of 247Sports composite five-star prospect Cooper Witten.

Witten is a consensus top-three linebacker in the 2027 cycle and is the fourth top-100 commitment for the Sooners, joining offensive tackles Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny, and running back Keldrid Ben. Witten is the highest-rated defensive player in the Sooners 2027 class and joins another top defensive player in Taven Epps.

Under Brent Venables, the Sooners have rebuilt Oklahoma's defensive reputation. Witten's commitment further solidifies the Sooners as a destination for top defensive prospects.
