Cool read, thx for sharing.

Lol:
He was the head coach at Temple at 30 years old, and he swears the first question he was asked at his introductory news conference was, "Why is Temple even playing football?"

His answer: "To beat Penn State."

May want to put in the link to the article itself, since the front page of ESPN's NFL section will change.

Good article. Arians is the man. Couldn't ask for a better Head Coach

There is more than one article in that block...One on Arians...one on Palmer...then referring to Power Rankings and NFC West. I just figured people would see the block of articles and figure it out.

I'd rather play good teams than bad - at least that way we can measure how good the team really is.

Thanks masterphomeg, I positively loved these articles on Arians. He is everything I always wanted to be. He does it his way, regardless of what others think. Only he is so much better at it than I was.

I'm sure his abrupt manner has kept him from being a head coach on several levels. The truth of it is that if a man is going to be held accountable for his results, he SHOULD do it his way and no one else's way.

I love Bruce Arians, and I especially love the fit that he has made with Steve Keim, and with Michael Bidwill. I love that he lets his assistants COACH. That obviously works, (as seen from the results of halftime against the 'Skins, when Todd Bowles held muster with his defense in the locker room). The same defensive players came out and kicked butt in the second half, and salvaged a win late in the game. Arians aluded afterward that there was a lot of noise coming from the defensive room during halftime. Staying true to his own 'druthers, BA lets his assistants coach their own way. The results have been astounding both here and when he was at Indianapolis.

Remember all of the raised eyebrows and questions, when coaches like Bowles and Goodwin were hired? Looks like it's all paying off now.

Just looked at the playoff standings on ESPN and the Cards have the toughest SOS so far (.696) with SF in a close 2nd (.679). Those are the 2 toughest in the entire NFL and the next 2 toughest in the NFC are Seattle and then StL. No wonder why our division hasn't looked quite as strong this year.
