I watched the Skelton interception three or four times. I think a lot of the responsibility for that interception belongs with Housler. It appeared to mea as though he never even looked for the pass until the safety flashed infront of him. Without the interception I doubt if the pass would have been complete because the receiver was not looking for the ball.

My take was that Housler probably knew the safety was sitting there and was a little surprised his QB didn't. The thing is Skelton had time so for him to decide THAT was the right place to throw it was indefensible. Looking at the replay Housler makes a feint to his left and then keeps going upfield and Skelton threw the ball as if he thought Rob was going left. The problem is the safety is running right to that spot so for Skelton to throw it he clearly didn't see the safety. Even if Housler somehow ran the wrong route, there's no way Skelton should be throwing the ball there, Housler wasn't open he wasn't even close to open because the safety was there.

It has been obvious to any one who watches a fair amount of games. The guys we have stare down their receivers wayyyyy too much.

Now I have seen Aaron Rodgers stare down Nelson a few times tonight, but the difference is.... AR can sling it with the best of them... he is damn accurate as well. He can make up for it.

Tom Brady has the the ability to "throw guys open" so he does not need a big arm like Rodgers. He also has what seems like an "amazing" ability to look off defenders (shocking I know) to make up for his lack of arm strength. (He will go into the hall of fame because of it)

Both Manning's are similar in that they don't have cannon's but they can be accurate in the clutch.

Alex Smith is a dud waiting to happen. Exactly what I have been waiting for from him happened today. He has a noodle arm and small hands. He is not physically gifted enough to "win" games. He is what he is. A nice player on a good team playing great defense. No where near the #1 pick status he has given... and certainly not worth all the hype he has received over the past few weeks.

Soon as they play teams that match them physically... they get beat.
