Allegany ace Jordyn Sneathen repeated as Western Maryland Athletic Conference Player of the Year as part of the all-conference awards that were revealed this week by the league’s head coaches.

Sneathen went a spotless 7-0 in the circle in conference play, holding opponents to a stingy 0.71 earned-run average.

The St. Francis signee helped Allegany to an 8-0 mark in the WestMAC. The Campers have won six consecutive league titles and have never lost a WestMAC game, a streak spanning 45 games since the conference was formed in 2020.

Northern finished second in the league with a 6-2 record, followed by Fort Hill and Mountain Ridge (both 3-5) and Southern (0-8).

Southern pitcher Adeline Wilson and Mountain Ridge outfielder Macy Barth shared Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Wilson, signed to the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, led the WestMAC with a .607 batting average, three home runs and 12 RBIs in conference play. Barth and Wilson tied for second in the league with 12 runs scored.

Northern pitcher/shortstop Rain Ritchey and Fort Hill shortstop Tatum Bishop split the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Ritchie was second in the WestMAC in hitting at .500 and led all players with two triples. Bishop scored a conference-best 13 runs.

Seniors Sneathen and Wilson and sophomore Ritchey were joined on the All-WestMAC first-team pitching staff by Fort Hill sophomore Haley Metz.

Sentinel sophomore Summer Welsh is the first-team catcher.

The infield is made up of Bishop, Northern senior Demi Ross, Allegany junior Tyiss Jessie and sophomores Sadee Baker and Savannah Walton, and Fort Hill sophomore Taylor Wiseman.

Walton led the WestMAC with nine doubles.

Barth leads an outfield group that includes Allegany senior Mykah Baker, Mountain Ridge seniors Macy Barth and Aubreigh Wilson and Northern senior Bailey Champlin.

Allegany senior Maylee Blank rounds out the first team as a utility player.

The lone second-team pitcher is Mountain Ridge senior Destinee Johnson, and Miners senior Anne Baker and Allegany sophomore Alyssa Rader split the catching duties.

The infielders are Mountain Ridge senior Maci Beeman, Southern freshman Halee Bruckey and Northern freshman Camilya Burley.

Fort Hill senior Brynnan ******, and Allegany junior Desi Hilton and freshman Eden Robison are the second-team outfielders.
