Who didn't enjoy watching those three NBA legends on the floor together? The 1992 United States men's basketball team made that possible.

The "Dream Team" – which was formed in response to Team USA taking the bronze medal in men's basketball in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul – dominated the competition at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. It's the greatest basketball team ever assembled.

Who could forget what Charles Barkley said before the first Olympic game?

"I don't know anything about Angola," Barkley said. "But Angola's in trouble."

Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson, John Stockton and Christian Laettner completed the rest of a roster under coach Chuck Daly that stormed through eight Olympic victories by an average of 43.8 points per game and won the gold medal with a 117-85 victory against Croatia.

The "Dream Team" also contributed to the globalization of the NBA. A total of 10 International players have been selected as the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft since 1992, from Yao Ming to Victor Wembanyama.
