Skyforce fall to Osceola in Florida

KISSIMMEE, FL (SKYFORCE) — The Sioux Falls Skyforce (14-13) fell to the Osceola Magic (18-7) 113-106 on Tuesday night at Silver Spurs Arena in the middle game of a three-games-in-five-days stretch.

Both teams matched each other through the first half. The game was tied at 26 after the first quarter, and the teams entered halftime even at 60-60 after scoring 34 points apiece in the second quarter.

Sioux Falls outscored Osceola 31-23 in the third quarter and built a 10-point lead midway through the period.

Osceola erased the deficit in the fourth quarter and forced overtime with late scoring. In the extra period, the Magic scored seven consecutive points to reach the target score and secure the victory.

Miami HEAT two-way guard Trevor Keels led the Skyforce with 24 points. Josh Christopher added 23 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Miami HEAT assignee Keshad Johnson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 6-9 from the field.

Phillip Wheeler paced the Magic with 27 points, while Alex Morales recorded 20 points and 12 rebounds. Lester Quinones added 15 points.

Sioux Falls shot 46.6 percent from the field (41-88) and 27.3 percent from three-point range. Osceola shot 43.6 percent from the field in the win.

The Magic will host the Maine Celtics on Sunday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. CST. The Skyforce continues its road trip Thursday, March 5, traveling to Southaven, Mississippi, to face the Memphis Hustle at 7:00 p.m. CST at the Landers Center.
