Germany forward Niclas Füllkrug is set to join AC Milan on a six-month loan from West Ham United, according to Sky.
The broadcaster reported on Monday that the seven-time European champions had reached agreement on the January deal, which includes an option to buy the former Bundesliga striker. Wolfsburg had also been interested in the 32-year-old.
After Euro 2024, Füllkrug moved for just under €30 million ($35 million) from Borussia Dortmund to London.
Injuries, along with two coaching changes at West Ham, have limited his opportunities.
Capped 24 times, he pushed for a transfer to increase his World Cup chances. In Milan he would compete, among others, with former Bundesliga stars Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku for a place in attack.
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has made it clear that his players need match practice if they want a place in the squad for the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico.
His most recent international was in June in the Nations League semi-final against Portugal. In total, the striker has scored 14 goals for the national team.
