The Philadelphia 76ers pulled off a stunning blockbuster trade on Wednesday when they sent Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jaylen Brown. Philadelphia is acquiring the MVP of the 2024 finals and a player who was just named to the All-NBA Second Team.
In a year in which the Celtics were supposed to be in a "gap year" due to the Jayson Tatum injury, Brown took his game to another level. He averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists while leading Boston to a 56-26 record and the No. 2 seed in the East. Of course, Brown and the Cs then blew a 3-1 lead to the Sixers in Round 1, but that's not important anymore!
Sixers legend Allen Iverson took to Instagram to welcome Brown to Philadelphia after the blockbuster deal.
