Sixers' Bob Myers has recruiting pitch to free agent LeBron James

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of a big offseason under the guidance of a new front office regime led by Mike Gansey as President of Basketball Operations along with Bob Myers, who works with Harris & Blitzer Sports Entertainment. Myers is the former GM of the Golden State Warriors so he is familiar with how to build championship rosters.

As the Sixers continue to be in the running for mega free agent star LeBron James, there is a thought process that he will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, it's obvious that the Sixers are still in the running to land the future Hall of Famer, which would give them an excellent chance at winning a title.

Myers hopped on the "Game Over" podcast and he gave a pitch to James to sign with the Sixers:

If you're talking about the Sixers, if he was here, I'd say I honestly believe this is your best chance to win. You have to decide all the other things that are equally important because it's his life, right? He has to play. He has to face the scrutiny of his decision that'll have people say 'you should have done this or should have done that' and they'll criticize him for whatever, which is his life. He's been through all that. What I would just say is if it's about winning, let's talk about this team because you can win here in in Philadelphia. By the way, he knows players, a lot of them better than I do. Their games. This is a guy that probably watches more basketball than anybody understands. He's not just playing, he's probably watching the game in February that nobody's watching. So, he knows the guys, he knows how they play.

James has a lot of connections to the Sixers. He and Tyrese Maxey have worked out together a ton and are both represented by Klutch Sports and he worked with Gansey while the two were with the Cavaliers. There is a clear path for him to sign with Philadelphia and make a run with this group. If he were to land with the Sixers, one could argue that they would be the best team in the East and would be the biggest contender.
