The Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced the postseason awards for the 2026 season Monday. Four Texas A&M players were named to the All-SEC First Team, the most by any school this year. Additionally, two Aggie freshman found spots on the Freshman All-SEC squad, while two Maroon and White players earned recognition on the SEC Baseball All-Defensive Team. Finally, junior infielder Gavin Grahovac was named the 2026 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year with a 3.853 GPA in his sport management degree program to go along with a .344 batting average in 52 games played.

Joining Grahovac on the First Team were Chris Hacopian (second base), Caden Sorrell (outfield) and Clayton Freshcorn (relief pitcher). The four Aggies selected to the first team were the most by any team in 2026, with Georgia, Texas, and Mississippi State each following with three selections each. Hacopian ranked among the conference’s top 30 in every offensive category in SEC games, earning a First-Team nod for the first time in his college career (named to Second-Team Big Ten in 2024 and 2025).

Last week, Sorrell and Grahovac were the second pair of Aggies named as semifinalists for the 2026 Golden Spikes Award, joining Braden Montgomery and Jace LaViolette in 2024. Both juniors ranked first and second in RBI in SEC games this season (Grahovac, 43; Sorrell, 35) while the outfielder had 12 doubles, third in SEC play. Grahovac and Sorrell each collected their first career nods to the SEC First Team, despite Sorrell being named the Freshman of the Year in 2024 (was not on first team then).

Freshcorn rounded out the First-Team selections, owning a 3.35 ERA in SEC play. His 12 saves lead the conference, with seven of those coming against conference foes. It is his first selection to the First Team and is the second Aggie reliever in three years to be named (Evan Aschenbeck, 2024).

Dynamic freshmen Nico Partida and Jorian Wilson were both honored on the 2026 Freshman All-SEC Baseball Team. The duo was recently issued invites to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp and have punched above their weight as first-year players this season. Wilson led all SEC freshmen with seven homers in conference tilts, while Partida’s 12 longballs were second most by a SEC first-year, only trailing Mississippi State’s Jacob Parker (13).

Rounding out the honors were Sorrell and Grahovac who each earned spots on the All-Defensive Team. The junior outfielder holds a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 2026 with 132 putouts, while Grahovac has been extremely good at first base with just two errors committed this season. Those two selections encapsulate an A&M team that is on pace for the highest season team fielding percentage in program history (.978).
