No. 3 Silver Lake will have a chance to win the Class 3A State Championship. The Eagles (27-4) took down No. 2 Haven 12-6 in the state semifinals on Wednesday, May 27.

The Eagles opened a 9-2 lead through the first three innings of the game. Silver Lake used composed at-bats using singles and walks to get on base.

Haven jumped right back into the game with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Silver Lake did not succumb to the pressure with three runs in the final two innings.

Savanah Wende was the lone Silver Lake player to have an extra-base hit. She went 2-for-4 with a double and a single. She had a team-high three RBIs and two runs scored.
