Bloody-Disgusting.com has an exclusive interview with Saw director James Wan, who talks about the upcoming sequel Saw 2, which starts shooting in Toronto for an October release. Wan will only be producing the follow-up to the 2004 Halloween hit, but he says that Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell will be returning.
He also was happy to announce that his next project with Saw star/co-writer Leigh Whannell, has just been greenlit by Universal Pictures. Silence will be Wan's second feature as a director, but he said that it will be a very different horror film from Saw, more about the "scare and atmosphere" then "blood and guts."
