JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Run Baby Run Arena was as inhospitable as usual to the Siena men's basketball team.
Bryce Eaton scored 22 points and Saint Peter's defeated the Saints 70-65 to end Siena's six-game winning streak.
Siena lost for the 12th time in its last 13 trips to Saint Peter's.
Gavin Doty had 19 points for the Saints (17-8 overall, 10-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who fell out of a tie for second place with Saint Peter's.
The Peacocks improved to 14-8, 11-3, a half-game behind first-place Merrimack, which plays at Rider tonight.
Saint Peter's built a 50-39 lead with 12:43 left. Siena drew as close as 59-57 on Doty's two foul shots with 5:20 remaining.
Siena shot 3-for-17 from 3-point range.
