SPRINGFIELD–The same technology NBA & WNBA players use to develop and improve is now at the fingertips of anyone in southwest Missouri.

Shoot 360 Springfield is a state-of-the-art facility that combines incredible, interactive technology with high-level coaching to help all hoopers raise their game to the highest level.

If an athlete wants to work on their dribbling or passing, then they can stand in one of the four bays and select from a variety of training videos. The videos can be as simple as mimicking the movements of a player on the giant screen in front of them. Or, could be a fun game where the screen is covered in bugs and you have to hit the bugs by passing the ball at the screen to score points.

These kinds of interactive training sessions turn normally, boring activities into a true challenge that elevates practicing the fundamentals into a fun, incentivized lesson.

When it comes to shooting, Shoot 360 has stat trackers on every goal, so players can see how many shots they’ve made, what their percentages are, and also compete in fun, challenging games.

The combination of technology and hands-on coaching from on-site personnel have quickly created a hot-spot for casual and serious hoopers.

Nolan McCauley was just a casual basketball player six months ago, when he first started playing, but now, after joining Shoot 360 in late May, the 1-year-old has made over 20,000 shots. Basketball has quickly overtaken his first love, baseball, as his favorite sport.

“I just love basketball,” said Nolan McCauley. “I want to get better at it. I just want to be the best I can be at it.”

Nolan’s passion and dedication for basketball developed as quickly as his skills because of the combination of coaching and technology. Especially, when he found out about the nation-wide Shoot 360 challenge “Every Shot Counts,” which incentivized members to make 1,000 or more shots in a month by rewarding them with prizes.

“If I win it all, I get a party,” McCauley said. I get some Shoot 360 Ultimate merch package. That’s pretty cool.”

Even General Manager, and former Missouri State Men’s Basketball player, Anthony Shavies was surprised at McCauley’s dedication.

“I bet, there’s not five people in the world who have made that many shots in that period of time, across any level of basketball, pro, college, high school.”

McCauley’s goal is to make around 50,000 shots by the time summer comes to an end in August, but looking back, he can’t believe how far he’s come in just over a month of practice.

“I am surprised, I didn’t know I could do this. I thought making a hundred a day was all I could do, then when we found out about this place, it was completely changed,” said McCauley.

Shoot 360 has 50 locations all over the world and, right now, McCauley’s 20,000 shots made has him sitting in second place among ALL members.

Shoot 360 has roughly 200 members but is actively recruiting more athletes to come join the program and raise their game — for fun or for competition.
