There were reports early during the Cleveland Browns' OTAs that former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was behind veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson for the Brown's starting job.

Those appear to be going by the wayside after a stellar week of practice, but Sanders is firmly back in the conversation to be the Week 1 starter.

In fact, Mary Kay Cabot, who originally reported that Sanders might be falling behind Watson, backpedaled a bit during a Cleveland radio hit.

"I think Shedeur has come on so strong in the last few weeks that it's making them think maybe we should see what he can do in training camp before we decide perhaps Deshaun Watson is QB1," Cabot said.

The new report comes on the heels of head coach Todd Monken saying, "we got two starting-level quarterbacks and every day, I kind of lean one way or the other."

Sanders is clearly making that decision extremely hard for Monken, with him earning more first-team reps and seemingly putting together better practices than Watson the last few weeks. The conversation will only continue into training camp later this summer.
