Former Colorado football quarterback Shedeur Sanders may find himself slipping in the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday night.
Sanders, considered by most draft experts the No. 2 quarterback available behind likely No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward, might fall past the first round if he isn't selected No. 21 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"I think we're not going to hear his name at two, Schefter said on ESPN's pre-draft show on Thursday. "We're not going to hear his name at three. I don't think we're going to hear his name at nine. And so, then the question comes, is there a team that's going to trade up into the teens, which it's hard to see that right now.
"We are on a collision course to where he could go down to No. 21 and the Pittsburgh Steelers. ... If no Shedeur at 21, we might get one quarterback tonight."
Sanders, the son of Colorado coach Deion Sanders, headlines the top of what's considered a weak quarterback class, which also includes Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart and Alabama's Jalen Milroe as potential first-round picks.
Sanders passed for 4,137 yards with 37 touchdowns to 10 interceptions last season in his second year as the Buffaloes' starter and fourth in college football overall, as he followed his father from Jackson State after the 2022 season. His teammate, receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter Jr., is expected to be selected No. 2 overall by the Cleveland Browns.
If Sanders does fall, however, it doesn't seem to be a factor that will bother him. "I'm built for whatever today may bring," Sanders wrote on X on Thursday afternoon.
