Shedeur Sanders is being dragged through the mud once again. Another anonymous source has attacked the former Colorado quarterback just days before the NFL draft.
NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday in his NFL draft quarterback breakdown that a longtime NFL coach shared a headline-seeking quote seemingly meant to denigrate Sanders.
"The worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life," the anonymous coach exclaimed. "He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates...but the biggest thing is, he is not that good."
The baseless quote goes against nearly every other NFL general manager and coach that has spoken glowingly of Sanders throughout the pre-draft process.
Many called out the comment as blatantly false, and some went in on the fact that Pelissero published it one day before the draft. Several others came to Sanders' defense, namely, NFL analyst Kyle Brandt, who blasted the coach for remaining anonymous.
"I see entitlement in a grown professional who is going around anonymously destroying young athletes with very personal quotes anonymously as they're about to realize their dream and become professionals," Brandt contended. "Do not listen to that quote. That quote is bullcrap. It's news. It's worthy. I hate that quote. Listen to Shedeur's teammates, who kept picking him up over and over as he got the crap kicked out of him last year who don't have negative things to say about him."
Here are the reactions to the latest Shedeur Sanders slander, including Brandt's full rant:

Kyle Brandt is triggered
Triggered as hell about Shedeur Sanders getting anonymous hate before draft…. pic.twitter.com/7kJJaeAv1F

The unwarranted hate is too much
Never seen a prospect slandered so much. This is honestly disgusting and I hope Shedeur becomes a star.

Matt Rhule supports Shedeur
Called a few college coaches today who played Shedeur Sanders. Got an interesting response from Nebraska’s Matt Rhule, who feels like Sanders would thrive in the NY spotlight. “I would take him No. 3 overall. Without a question," said Rhule, a former Giants assistant. pic.twitter.com/otqEpgFGaN

The people around Shedeur most, know best
Having covered Shedeur Sanders for 2 years, I find the hits on his character mind-boggling. The Shedeur I got to know is ...
- a leader
- well-liked by his teammates
- tough as nails
- engaging with the media (after wins & losses)
- supremely confident but shows humility at times… https://t.co/AP22CCz5Nz

Anonymity is not always the best look
The scummiest thing in sports is going off the record to talk to reporters about athletes and coaches. https://t.co/z9y6lkVDfJ

Shedeur's brother chimes in
It’s actually funny as hell seeing these “executives” straight up lie… or boldly say certain things when it’s a 100% lie.
Yall don’t even understand that yall are preparing that table… https://t.co/5QfvNGqKi8

Giants' still in play for Shedeur?
Tom does a good job with this, and it's about as balanced as you can get. If I were making the pick for the Giants, I'd either bet on Shedeur's intangibles or Milroe's ceiling - knowing the culture of the room I want. It's hard not to take chance on the Milroe lottery ticket. https://t.co/6K7YRsTI0r
