San Jose Sharks rookie Macklin Celebrini has entered elite company after reaching a historic NHL milestone.
The 19-year-old crossed the 100-point mark during a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Blues, delivering two goals and one assist. His performance underlined a breakout season that continues to reshape expectations around the league.
Celebrini now joins a rare list of teenage players to record 100 points in a single NHL season. That group includes legends like Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, along with Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.

Celebrini reached 101 points, with 38 goals and 63 assists, placing him among the game’s most productive young stars.
“I didn’t really think I’d do it this year,” Celebrini said.
He credited his teammates for helping him reach the milestone while keeping the focus on winning games. His form has stayed strong, with 19 points in 15 games since the start of March.

The achievement becomes even more impressive when compared with the league’s top scorers this season. Only Connor McDavid (124 points), Nikita Kucherov (121 points), and Nathan MacKinnon (120 points) have also crossed the 100-point mark. Celebrini stands out as the only teenager in that group.

Celebrini’s impact has driven a turnaround for San Jose. The Sharks hold a 34-31-7 record and sit fifth in the Pacific Division. The offense now produces over three goals per game, a clear improvement from recent seasons. Celebrini leads that charge with consistent scoring and playmaking.
While defensive issues remain, the team has become far more competitive. They have seen a clear improvement in points from their previous two seasons. The rebuild appears to be moving forward, with Celebrini and Will Smith at the center of it.

With 10 games left, the rookie will aim to build on this historic season. He has already placed his name alongside legends, and his rise suggests even bigger achievements could follow.
