The Oklahoma City Thunder just did not have enough gas in the tank on Friday night in their Game 3 matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets forced overtime via another clutch play from Aaron Gordon, and they ultimately outlasted the Thunder by outscoring them 11-2 in the extra period. This led to a 113-104 win for the Nuggets, who have now taken a 2-1 series lead in this West semis clash.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remains unfazed, though. The three-time All-Star, who finished the game with 18 points, 13 rebounds and even assists, was seen with a big smile on his face as he walked off the court following Friday's loss.

Gilgeous-Alexander's post-game behavior quickly grabbed the attention of fans on social media. While some criticized the Thunder star for his actions, others argued that this was his way of sending a message after the loss.

Reporters asked Gilgeous-Alexander about the incident during the post-game press conference, and the 6-foot-6 guard revealed that it was the Nuggets fans inside Ball Arena who prompted his reaction.

“Some fans were taunting me," Gilgeous-Alexander said. "I know how the game goes. I know how life is. It's easy to taunt when you're up, and I don't ever want to show them that I'm defeated or mad or anything like that.

"Nothing's written. The series isn’t over.”

Gilgeous-Alexander just put things in perspective here despite going down 2-1. As he said, this series is far from over, and there's still a very long way to go before one team is able to book their spot in the Western Conference Finals.

Game 4 in Denver is scheduled on Sunday, and it is clear that Gilgeous-Alexander and the rest of the Thunder will have something to prove when these two teams face off on the court again.
