The Philadelphia Phillies’ hopes of having a starter in the All-Star Game at their home park, Citizens Bank Park, aren’t lost yet.
Major League Baseball announced which players are moving on to the next round after the first round of fan voting, and the Phillies have multiple finalists.
Bryson Stott is putting together a strong case to be an All-Star, even after a relatively slow start to the season. He advanced to the next round after receiving 1,388,744 votes. Stott is going up against Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies.
The Phillies second baseman still has a season OPS of .694, but owns a .304/.371/.482 slash line over his last 15 games. Stott is also making his impact felt on defense. The infielder ranks in the 84th percentile in outs above average and the 64th percentile in fielding run value.

Alec Bohm is looking for his second trip to the All-Star Game, after winning the fan vote for third base back during the 2024 season. He’s moving on to the next round and is going up against Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy.
Bohm completely turned his season around after logging a .395 OPS in April. He bounced back to log a .812 OPS in May and continues to make an impact in the Phillies lineup.
If Bohm does win the fan vote, he’ll join Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt as the only Phillies third baseman in franchise history to win multiple fan elections.
Brandon Marsh moved on to the second round of voting after receiving the second-most votes among National League outfielders with 2,015,932. He’s looking to become the first Phillies starting outfielder in the All-Star Game since Raul Ibanez in 2009.
In terms of stats, Marsh is certainly playing like an All-Star. He has a .324/.357/.518 slash line halfway through the season with 12 home runs.
