Jan. 14—Avery Ogren scored 19 points as Missoula Sentinel powered past Flathead with a strong fourth quarter to take a 51-40 win at Flathead High School Tuesday in Western AA girls basketball.

Lucy Pfhaler had 11 for the Spartans (4-3 overall, 1-2 in Western AA games), while Andrin Reimers added 10.

Brynn Kossman led the Bravettes (0-7, 0-3) with 13 points, including 9 of 13 shooting from the foul line. Grace Gall tallied eight.

Flathead led 13-12 after one quarter and were within a basket at the half and after 24 minutes.

Sentinel closed with a 16-7 advantage in the fourth quarter to take the win.

MISSOULA — Lincoln Rogers scored a game-high 20 points, while Sentinel teammate Beau O'Reilly added 18 and the Spartans downed Flathead 68-42 in Western AA boys basketball Tuesday.

Kade Robinson tallied 10 points for the Spartans, who jumped ahead to a 21-5 lead after one quarter.

The Spartans (6-1 overall, 3-0 in Western AA games) hit nine threes as a squad, with O'Reilly hitting four from behind the arc.

Hunter Fann led the Braves (1-6 overall, 0-3 in Western AA games) with 10 points, including a pair of triples. Reece Brotherton added eight.

Flathead trailed 35-15 at the half before finding their shooting touch in the second half, scoring 27 points over the final 16 minutes.
