Senegal will face Mali on Friday, January 9, in a match for a place in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).
Both teams reached this stage of the competition after overcoming Sudan (3-1) and Tunisia (3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw), respectively.
The Lions are aiming for a second continental crown after their triumph in 2021.
In the past, the Senegalese national team has played in nine AFCON quarter-finals, recording 4 wins and 5 losses.
