Section 4 postseason: state semifinalists, game results and more

Several Section 4 teams have continued in this season’s playoffs. Horseheads boys lacrosse claimed its first-ever state tournament victory, Susquehanna Valley softball entered the Class B state semifinal for the first time in eight years, and Johnson City/Chenango Valley won the Class C title in its first season as a merged team, to name a few.

Here's a look at the current top teams representing Section 4 in various state championship tournaments, along with game results throughout the weekend.

Baseball ​

June 12​

AA semifinal: Horseheads vs West Genesee (Section 3) at 4 p.m. at Mirabito Stadium

Softball ​

June 12​

A semifinal: Maine-Endwell vs Averill Park (Section 2) at 10 a.m. at Greenlight Grand Slam Park

B semifinal: Susquehanna Valley vs Chatham (Section 2) at 4 p.m. at Greenlight Grand Slam Park

C semifinal: Deposit-Hancock vs St. Lawrence Central (Section 10) at 5:30 p.m. at Greenlight Grand Slam Park

D semifinal: Windham-Ashland-Jewett vs Fort Ann (Section 2) at 11:30 AM at Greenlight Grand Slam Park

Outdoor Track and Field​

2026 NYSPHSAA Championships will take place on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Webster Schroeder High School
