Seattle Sounders, Reign Announce Festival Featuring Floating Stage

Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC, in partnership with the RAVE Foundation and Friends of Waterfront Park, have announced a new festival set atop a floating stage.

In a statement shared with Complex, Hugh Weber—who serves as President of Business Operations for Seattle’s pro-level soccer clubs—called the Lenovo-powered event, dubbed Seattle Soccer Celebration, a “defining moment” for the Washington city.

“Seattle Soccer Celebration is more than a fan experience, it’s a global expression of who we are and what we believe sport can do,” Weber said. “By bringing the world’s game onto Elliott Bay, we’re creating something never seen before while delivering on a promise to our community. This is Seattle showing how a city, a waterfront, and two clubs can come together to build something that resonates far beyond the tournament.”

Billed as a “floating expression of Seattle’s soccer authenticity,” the space boasts a custom-made soccer pitch built atop a maritime vessel. This floating pitch, notably, is also designed to serve as the symbolic 52nd field from the RAVE Foundation, which previously launched an initiative aimed at constructing 52 free mini-pitches across Washington.

“This is a celebration of every young person and every neighborhood that made this possible, and a reminder that the true legacy of this moment in the summer of 2026 lives in our community,” Ashley Fosberg, Chief Impact and Fan Engagement Officer for the Sounders and Reign clubs, added.
