I dug deep into the TV archives and spotted a gem.
I remember when Seaquest first came out. It was amazing. Stunning visuals, awesome technology, exciting adventures....and Roy Scheider...a bona fide big time movie star on weekly TV...since he was famous for JAWS,...it kinda made him an expert in all things ocean, and the perfect bit of casting.
So. After 35 years of advancing technology and special affects , what's the verdict??
Fellas, this show holds up like a champ...in fact, if it were released this year I don't think anybody would call it "retro" or badmouthing the visuals. The Seaquest still rivals the Nautilus as the greatest subs in hi-stories.
Smart, eco friendly, well written, top quality entertainment.
It's been a really long time. So watch it again for the first time. Take yourself back to a ti.e when quality TV was the norm and it would take you two days to binge a season.
