Sean McVay explains why Alaric Jackson missed practice Wednesday

The Los Angeles Rams were missing Alaric Jackson at practice on Wednesday, but it's not injury related. Sean McVay told reporters after practice that Jackson took the day off to manage his blood clot situation. He's still taking medication for his blood clots, but McVay said it's simply preventative and part of the plan.

Jackson was diagnosed with blood clots last offseason but never missed any time during the regular season as a result of his condition.

There doesn't seem to be any concern about Jackson's availability moving forward.

In Jackson's place at left tackle, veteran David Quessenberry filled in on Wednesday, according to Nate Atkins of The Athletic. That's an indication that if Jackson faces a suspension for his offseason arrest, Quessenberry would likely be the replacement.
