The Seattle Seahawks are on top of the NFL world right now. The team is still riding off the high of winning the Super Bowl over the New England Patriots, and the big hope now is that they can repeat in 2026.

One of the major contributors from that Super Bowl team was running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker left in free agency for the Kansas City Chiefs, but the Seahawks had a plan to fill that void.

The team drafted Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Price was widely considered to be among the best running backs in this class, but he's used to sharing carries. Price played behind Jeremiyah Love over the last two seasons at Notre Dame.

You would think it would then be fine for Price to split carries with Zach Charbonnet, but Charbonnet likely won't be healthy again until the middle of the 2026 season. As a result, one writer thinks there's a perfect trade candidate.

Seahawks named logical landing spot for Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara has been one of the best running backs of his generation. However, the veteran had the worst year of his career in 2025, and the Saints responded by adding Travis Etienne in free agency.

As a result, Kamara could be on the trade block. Regarding the Seahawks and the veteran, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay offered the following:

Although Price has the potential to be a legitimate RB1 at the NFL level, the Seahawks would be wise to have a strong backup in place if they want to strengthen their repeat bid.

Kamara would be a true difference-maker for the Seahawks, who could leverage his versatile talents under new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury. Fleury spent over a half-decade under the tutelage of Kyle Shanahan with the rival San Francisco 49ers.

As Kay mentioned, Price may not be ready to take all the carries, and with Charbonnet out, the team needs another reliable option.

Kamara could be the perfect fit due to his pass-catching abilities, experience, and veteran leadership. In 2025, the running back still rushed for 471 yards and caught 33 passes for 186 yards.

In total, Kamara has earned five Pro Bowl selections in his career and has rushed for over 800 yards in five separate seasons. Perhaps a change of scenery could rejuvenate Kamara's career, and what better option than the reigning Super Bowl champions?
