Seahawks select UNLV wide receiver Ricky White III at No. 238 overall

The Seattle Seahawks have added yet another weapon to their offense. With the No. 238th pick in the 2025 NFL draft - and their final selection - the Seahawks picked wide receiver Ricky White III from UNLV. White is the first player in UNLV history to have multiple 1,000+ yard receiving seasons.

White will join Tory Horton and Elijah Arroyo as the Seahawks' primary offensive targets they have gifted to quarterback Sam Darnold in this draft.

White originally started his collegiate career with the Michigan State Spartans, where he spent his first two years of eligibility. He then transferred to UNLV, where he remained from 2022-2024. During his time at the college level, White caught 228 receptions for 3,366 yards and 24 touchdowns. His best receiving yardage year came in 2023 when he tallied 1,483 yards.

However, where White may find the most success on the Seahawks is on special teams. Last year for UNLV, White had four punt returns for 90 yards and even managed to score a touchdown.

Here is what White's official draft profile has to say about him:

Productive inside/outside receiver with good instincts but below-average play strength. He’s too easily knocked around and needs to play with better care for eluding trouble inside the route. White is smooth in space with an easy stride but won’t light it up with separation speed -- though he does have a feel for positioning and adjustments to create late catch space. A lack of size and catch strength will become exacerbated on the pro level, so refining his route-running as a slot option is a must. His lack of traits and explosiveness could overshadow the production and punch his ticket as an average NFL backup.
