The Seattle Seahawks have the best defense in the NFL, yet it seems so many of their players do not get the credit they so obviously deserve. Yes, the likes of Leonard Williams, Devon Witherspoon and Nick Emmanwori receive plenty of praise as they should. But then you have players like Julian Love who are tremendous, and somehow are flying under the radar nationally.

How good is the Seahawks' Pro Bowl safety? Well, why don't you ask any quarterback unfortunate enough to throw a ball in his vicinity. Last year, no defender allowed a lower passer rating across the entire National Football League than Julian Love. Opposing quarterbacks had a passer rating of a shocking 14.7 during the 2025 season.

Keep in mind, if a quarterback only threw incompletions - like, we're talking they snapped back and just threw the ball in the dirt 35 times - he would still have a passer rating of 39.6.

Julian Love only played in eight regular season games last year, and all three playoff victories for the Seahawks en route to their Super Bowl LX championship. While he only snagged one interception in the regular season, it was more than enough to contribute to his passer rating vacuum he was clearly generating last year.

Love is one of, if not the, leader(s) on Seattle's elite defense. He will be a prime factor in his fourth season in the Emerald City as the Seahawks attempt to defend their hard-earned crown.
