The Seattle Seahawks have undergone offseason changes after winning Super Bowl 60. In addition to losing several keynote contributors to free agency, former offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak was hired as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Seahawks appointed Brian Fleury, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers, to replace him.

Despite losing Kubiak, the Seahawks managed to retain offensive line coach John Benton. That was huge considering it was Kubiak who brought Benton to Seattle with him from the New Orleans Saints in the first place. The Seahawks were recently praised for retaining the veteran offensive line coach.

"The biggest thing I noticed [at OTAs] that was different from last year was the offensive line is all back together," Gregg Bell recently said on Dan Viens' podcast. "John Benton being back is the most important thing that happened to the Seahawks during the offseason."

Not only is Benton back coaching the offensive line. The Seahawks return all five starters from their Super Bowl triumph last season. Ascending blockers like Jalen Sundell and Grey Zabel should be even better in 2026. Elsewhere, Anthony Bradford is on an expiring contract, and the Seahawks drafted Beau Stephens as a potential successor. The offensive line is in good hands under Benton's watch.

The #Seahawks most important offseason move wasn't adding a player, it was KEEPING this coach.
