Despite entering the 2025 NFL draft with a stellar two-headed monster at running back, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider has consistently done homework on the ball-carrying prospects in this class. Just like having Kenneth Walker III didn't prevent the Seahawks from drafting Zach Charbonnet, it's possible Schneider will draft another running back in what scouts describe to be a historically loaded class of prospects.

One of the names that's garnered interest from Seattle is Delaware running back Marcus Yarns, who recently confirmed he had a pre-draft virtual visit with the Seahawks.

.@Delaware_FB RB Marcus Yarns is a potential home-run hitter in the 2025 NFL Draft. Explosive speed + pass-catching upside.

Great tester! 4.45 (40), 37.5" vert, 10'2" broad.

Yarns projects as an explosive back with home-run speed. The Fightin’ Blue Hens standout rushed for 939 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2023, and followed up that breakout performance with another 844 yards and six scores in 2024 en route to First-Team All-CAA honors.

Yarns also displayed elite athleticism at the NFL Combine. The Salisbury, Maryland native ran a 4.45-second 40-yard dash at 5-foot-11 and 193 pounds. Yarns also leaped a 37.5-inch vertical and 10-foot-2 broad jump, placing top 10 among all participating backs in the broad and top 15 in the vertical.

Yarns projects as a Day Three selection. The Seahawks are slated to possess five draft picks in that range, including two fifth-round selections, and two seventh rounders. If Schneider is interested in drafting a running back, Yarns would represent a quality change-of-pace option.
