No. 5 LSU (34-8, 12-6 SEC) will open a three-game Southeastern Conference series against No. 6 Tennessee (34-7, 12-6 SEC) on Friday. Rankings reflect the USA TODAY Sports Poll.
Friday's series opener between the Vols and Tigers was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Game No. 1 will now start at 10:50 p.m. EDT due to inclement weather.
"Baseball will be played tonight," Tennessee announced. "First pitch slated for 9:50 p.m. local time, 10:50 p.m. EDT. Get yourself an energy drink or some coffee."
Friday's series opener can be watched on SEC Network+.
Game No. 2 on Saturday is scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT (ESPNU) and Sunday’s series finale will take place at 3 p.m. EDT (SEC Network).
LSU leads the baseball series all time against the Vols, 63-33. Tennessee is 6-4 against the Tigers in the last 10 contests.
