As the calendar turns to July, the college football season will be here before you know it. SEC Media Days is also right around the corner, starting on July 20th.
Per FanDuel, Missouri’s over/under win total is set at 6.5 with a very tough schedule looming for the Tigers. The home slate is jam-packed this season with top-tier SEC programs visiting Columbia.
Mizzou hosts Florida on October 3rd, which also happens to be the Homecoming game. If the Tigers can take care of business in their SEC opener at Mississippi State, they’ll have a good opportunity to start 2-0 against a Gator team under first-year head coach Jon Sumrall.
Missouri then hosts Texas A&M the following week on October 10th, as the Tigers will look for revenge after Mike Elko’s Aggies have dominated the last two seasons.
On November 7th, potential first overall pick Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns visit Columbia for the first time since 2011 (where Mizzou upset Texas 17-5).
On November 28th, Mizzou gets Oklahoma on Senior Day as the Tigers will look for back-to-back wins over the Sooners in Columbia.
This sure sets up to be a fun home schedule this season, especially if Mizzou can make some noise and surprise some people. Missouri is 20-3 in their last three seasons at Faurot Field, and they’ll need some home field advantage in front of sellout crowds against this quality of competition.
