The Savannah Bananas, known for their wildly popular and entertaining baseball games, are set to make a splash this summer on ESPN.

Ten of the team's games will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN2, with all 10 also streaming on ESPN+ and Disney+.

Is this the first time the Savannah Banana's will be on ESPN?

This isn't the team's first rodeo with ESPN. The network has partnered with the team for several years, starting with the Bananaland docuseries and then a number of games in the last couple of years.

Here are a list of what games will be aired:

  • April 26: Clemson at 7 p.m. on ESPN2, Memorial Stadium
  • May 10: Nashville at 8 p.m. on ESPN2, Nissan Stadium
  • June 7: Charlotte at 7 p.m. on ESPN2, Bank of America Stadium
  • July 5: Boston at 7 p.m. on ESPN, Fenway Park
  • July 26: Philadelphia at 7 p.m. on ESPN2, Citizens Bank Park
  • August 1: Baltimore at 7 p.m. on ESPN, Camden Yards
  • August 2: Baltimore at 7 p.m. on ESPN2, Camden Yards
  • August 9: Denver at 9 p.m. on ESPN2, Coors Field
  • August 15: Chicago at 8 p.m. on ESPN 2, Guaranteed Rate Field

What are the Savannah Bananas?

The team's founder, Jesse Cole, describes the events as "shows" rather than "games," emphasizing the entertainments value.

This team, based in Savannah since 2016, play a unique brand of baseball called Banana Ball. During these games, there are trick plays, showmanship, fan participation and speed.

Another unique aspect about these games... the food! That's right.

"Every Bananas Ticket at Grayson Stadium includes 'All You Can Eat Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Sandwiches, Chips, Popcorn, Dessert, Water and Coca-Cola products," according to the Savannah Bananas website.
