The Saugatuck girls basketball team finished their stellar regular season with a 63-37 win over Galesburg-Augusta on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

The Trailblazers, ranked No. 10 by the Division 3 coaches, concluded the season 21-1 overall, ending the season on a 13-game win streak.

Saugatuck has also won 27 SAC Central games in a row spanning three seasons and defeated Division 1 Zeeland West and Division 2 Comstock Park and South Haven this season.

The Trailblazes host the girls district tournament next week.

Talia Laskowski had 21 points to lead Saugatuck on Tuesday. Mylah Simpson had 15, while Ada Roth scored 10 and Penny Grob had nine.

"It's been a phenomenal regular season," Saugatuck coach Kevin Tringali said. "Our girls have given us everything. They are an absolute joy to coach. They also understand the work and goals still in front of them, so from this point forward, it is all about being prepared mentally and physically for the postseason. I know our team is up for the challenge."
